There was a judgment for $1,100.00, which is now before us on a writ of error. Mr. James lives in Danville and owns and publishes two newspapers in that city, the "Danville Register" and the "Danville Bee." Mr. Powell lives in Franklin county. For convenience the terms "plaintiff" and "defendant" will be used as they were in the trial count.
